Soon after David Priest (director, camera, editor) began his career in the 1980’s, he became a key player on hundreds of productions ranging from short films to documentaries to corporate messaging. Keeping on top of quality storytelling and messaging is equal to his attention of using appropriate technology for each project.

His passion for film history began as a young child growing into an extensive knowledge of filmmaking and its evolution. This passion has not wavered and he shares this knowledge with other film enthusiasts through presentations as well as being a mentor.

In 1993, he and Brenda Rundback formed Shadow Play Films. Production has provided them opportunities for exercising creativity and ingenuity, learning about a vast array of topics and national and international travel.

Since his school days, David has known only one career — working full time in the production industry. It goes without saying that David receives much enjoyment from this career.

For 30 years, I have directed, shot and edited a vast variety of programs. Constantly refining storytelling techniques as well as keeping on top of technology while being a life-long connoisseur of classic films (Grades A-Z) keeps me moving. Other quirky interests include photography, guitars, very

fast cars and vintage chairs.” ~ David
